Beltane (Gaelic word translates into "bright fire") is 1 of the 4 earth festivals on the wheel of the year which that originated in Ireland and Scotland. May day marks the midpoint between the solar festivals and is celebrated on 5/1 and on 11/1 in the southern hemisphere. Its a wonderful time to celebrate growth and new beginnings. This festival celebrates the return of vitality, passion, & hopes. It symbolizes the union of God and Goddess. The story goes that the lovers were separated all winter and then reunited in Spring time.

Ways to honor and celebrate:

Forage and collect wild flowers. Flowers that associated with this holiday are hawthorn, honey suckle, st. johns wort, and basically all flowers.
May Pole is a painted pole, decorated with flowers, and ribbons of all colors hung from the top. It symbolizes the masculine symbol and the decorations are the feminine symbols. The may pole dance and tradition that is over 2000 years old, was said to bring fertility to the livestock, the land, and the people living off of it.
Feasting with friends and family is ideal and celebrating the bounty that is in season is even better! Grilling season is here in Texas so fire up the pit and grill some of your favorite veggies! Black New Moon + Hybrid Solar Eclipse

What a potent time yall! It is indeed different than all the others, I swear! Not only is it a Black New Moon in Aries but its also a hybrid Solar Eclipse. Whoa. Now unfortunately, if you are on my side of the world, you will not be able to view the eclipse but I know you feel it. So, what does it all mean??

Black new moon just means there is an extra new moon in a season. So basically there are 4 new moons instead of 3 during this present season we are in!
Solar Eclipses happen a couple of times a year but a total solar eclipse is even more rare happening once every year or 2.
Hybrid. Well that means its a total eclipse and an annular eclipse (also known as the ring of fire). Go ahead, sing it, I'll wait....
