We all have her within. She slumbers and awaits you to let her rise. Throughout your life, she was able to come out for brief times. Her appearance made you strong, powerful, and wise. And yet we forget she is there and we decide that handling it on our own is what we are supposed to do.  For those of you that need some clarity, we are not talking about religion here. We are talking about the Goddess in all women and  archetypes. The goddess archetypes are deep desires that vary from woman to woman, providing power, spirituality, sexuality, and more!
I was told at the ripe age of 17, by a man much older than me,  that I exuded a goddess physically and mentally and that my beauty was something that could not be described. I didn't know if this was a compliment at first and honestly, my 17 year old self esteem went wild trying to find the answers quickly. I have always been bigger than my friends growing up. Tall, curvy, and wide hips. I called it heavy boned and fat. Wish I had hat 17 year old body now.... I digress. Anyways, I was reading psychology books about archetypes and googling goddess's because I had no idea why this man had compared me to a goddess. Was he calling me fat? So, I educated myself and decided that this was the nicest compliment anyone had ever said to me.  It was truly the most authentic description that fit me perfectly. And for the first time in my life, I embraced  my physical form as something beautiful. And I also found a hidden strength that I thought I never would have.

SMy question to you is have you acknowledged your true beauty today? Do you know how incredible you are? Are you suppressing your inner goddess because you are afraid to embrace your true, authentic self? Are you afraid of how others will think of you as you stand in your power? Fear not. It's 2017. It's time for you to awaken your inner goddess!! Here are some of my favorite affirmations. What is an affirmation? It means 'the action or process of affirming something'. I like writing them down and placing them on my bathroom mirror. I'll say the affirmation 3 x's and then go on with my day. 

• I am strong, I am empowered, and I can do anything I put my mind to. I am a goddess. 
• I stand in complete satisfaction of who I am and what I look like. I am a goddess. 
• I am filled with strength, wisdom, and abundance of the goddess.
