AHHH! Spring. Year after year we wait patiently for the long winter to end. The spring engages all of our senses. We see the buds on the trees start to grow and flourish and we anticipate the leaves and flowers in there fully grown state. The smell of dirt waiting to be turned over and the burning of the dead leaves is always present. The sound of birds chirping and the frogs croaking are always a sign spring has finally arrived. Even though the temperature is still fluctuating here in the north-east, the suns ray's and the longer days are signs that warmer days are ahead.
     I've been out in my garden/yard for the last 2 weeks every chance I got. It feels so good to use the muscles that have been hibernating all winter. I am fairly new to this gardening thing, but I know it runs in my blood. I enjoy it, I look forward to it, and I can't wait to create a beautiful landscape for my home sweet home.
    Connecting with nature is very important to finding that peace that we all seek. Next time your outside, take a deep breath. What do you smell? What do you see? What sounds do you hear? To get grounded and feel that sense of connection look at the trees around you and picture there root system. Then picture roots springing from your feet and grounding you to the earth. Spend as much time as you can outside. I know I will! Happy Spring!

    Well, I have to say that the world looks pretty good today. The sun is shining, birds are singing, and I feel at peace. Yesterday I taught a Reiki I class. I feel truly blessed that I was able to share my gift with others. As I said to them yesterday, "This is the best gift you could give to yourselves." I have to say "Thank You" to them for teaching me as well. I feel not only enlightened but empowered.
     To stand in one's power is a feeling that is indescribable. It is so important to let your light shine! The universe craves it, your friends and family admirer it, and you deserve it! Let all of that anger, resentment, and bitterness go! Feel the light that lies in all of our souls and embrace it. Give someone a hug and really mean it. You can do it!! Let Your Light Shine!!
