Happy Monday! I am thankful for my awesome family pictured below, my beautiful friends, and YOU! Here's a short but sweet message to remind you what this week's holiday is all about! Gobble Gobble! Click play to listen! Hey ya'll! Thanks for stopping by! With this week being filled with good food, family and friends, and a short work week, I wanted to remind you of what this holiday is all about. There's no doubt that holidays bring that hustle and bustle energy. They bring joy but also chaos. We get locked in 'flight or fight' mode because we want everything to be 'perfect'. Think back to the past Thanksgiving festivities. I bet the memories that pop up first are the ones when things went terribly wrong. Like when the oven broke after 1 hour of the turkey being in. How about the time you added to much salt to the most sought out dish, the mashed potatoes. Or the year you took over your mother's jello salad recipe only to ruin it and serve jello soup? How about the problem we all have, time management. How do we get all those side dishes, along with the turkey to all be served warm? At the same time? It brings a smile and even a outward burst of laughter when those wonderful memories come flooding through. Yet, we still strive for perfection every year. I bet Martha Stewart had some snags that she loves to tell. She can prob tell us how to fix those mishaps as well.
Ladies and gents, relax. Most people spend Thanksgiving with the ones that love us the most and vice versa. They will love you no matter what dish you serve the dressing in. This is the time to really remember what we are grateful for. Take the time to write down what you are thankful for and what you most look forward to during this week of Thanksgiving. Send love and light to those that are not as fortunate. Give your time to those in need. Send prayers to ones that will be spending this holiday without a loved one that has passed. Remember, it's time to be grateful for what you have. Realize that in the midst of all the baking, that the most important ingredient is love. Breathe. Let yourself be loved unconditionally and let your loved ones know how much you care about them. From my heart and soul, my table to yours, I wish you and your loved ones a Happy Thanksgiving. See y'all next week!
